Factor Affecting Spoilage in Pharmaceutical Product

 1. nutritional product :

nutrition product contain nutrition item which is the main product for the microbial growth. if a product contain nutritional product which is in favour of the microbial growth . this may lead to faster spoilage of the pharmaceutical product.

2. moisture content :

is major resoponsible for microbial growth . if there is no moisture there is no microbes growth , moisture is generally required for microbial growth.if no water no growth.

3. redox potential :

redox potential refres to reduction oxidation of the pharmaceutical product.  if this phenomenon takes palce when the product is in contact or left still this may lead to the spoilage of the product and the product will remian no loger for the normal use  .

4. storage temperature :

microbes grow slow in the low temperature .  thats why the generally food items in our home are stored in the fridgers . there is also be noted that the place must dry for some products .as not all products are stired in the fridgers .

5. pH :

Note: pH is negative log the H+ ion

if ph is basic theer is less mcirobial growth . if ph is more acedic there id less microbial growth .but it the ph is the optimum for the growth of the microbes and microbes will grow faster. ad more acedic or basic medium is generally free from microbes .

6. pcakaging design :

pakaging also play a very importent role in the microbial growh.if the pakage is made of the material that is microbial loving or may contain substances on ehich microbial growth would be easy then this type of the product will be easy of the source of the contamaination . so to use of the efficient design is necessay.

7. Hard and Soft water :

hard and soft water also play a very importent role in the growth of the contamination .simpler is the product less is the contamination greter is the complex greter is the chance of the contamination . hard water contain omplex of the calcium and magnesium which is an improtent souce of the nutrition of the microbila growth and may lead to the spoilage of the material.

8. Complex and Simple Formulations :

complex substance give the nutrient for the microbial growth as forming nutition for them whrere as the simpler substances do not brek down easily and less used as by microbes as for their nutrition and and hence lower thwe chance of the contamination by them .

9. Effect of buffers :

buffers also effects the spoilage of the product AS buffers mentain the ph of the material and hance preventing the the product by making unsuitable environment for the bacterial growth .
